It’s only a minor thing.
I am not tied to my computer. This is because I regularly muck about with Ubuntu, and in doing so I lose my files/programmes at least once a month.
I don’t mind. My opinion is that if you are foolish enough to keep things that are important to you in only one place, then you should be prepared for the consequences.
Today was a very liberating experience for me, as I wiped absolutely everything from my PC in preparation for testing Windows 7. It was amazing to see everything I had stored over the past 2 years just … vanish. None of it was important in the grand scheme of things. The world is a beautiful place and is worth much more than strings of data on a hard drive.
